Bass: Mike Porcaro
Piano: David Foster
Guitar Solo: Jay Lewis
Backing Vocals: LDB, Brian Russell, Bill Champlin, Roy Galloway

When you came into my life
I let millions of people and people go by
When you came into my life
I let millions of people and people go by

I took my chances up on the wire
Some people like to play with fire
When you're stoppin' at the corner of the bar room house
You neve seem to pay attention to the sings that I say
Hey hey
Why don't you

CHORUS
Look At Me
Before the curtains come down, you better
Look At Me
I'm 'bout to slide underground
Rescue me
Put out the fuse just in time
Rescue me
Walking a very fine line

You tied me in a mood in a nothing-state-of-mind
While millions of people and people go by
(Commit the perfect crime) then you're serving out your time
While millions of people and people go by

I lost my money on a sure thing
Pie in the sky was not the recipe
When you're stoppin' at the corner of the bar room house
You never seem to pay attention to the things that I say
Hey hey
Why don't you

CHORUS
Look At Me
Before the curtains come down, you better
Look At Me
I'm about to slide underground
Rescue me
Put out the fuse just in time
Rescue me
Walking a very fine line

Catching my breath... to try once again
Please let go of that feeling
You don't have to fear, no you don't have to bend
Honest to God... I'm not stealing

I'm feeling so low, I need to break the fall
It's tearing me apart that you're leaving
Once more for the road, oh how long can I go
Before I start... to believe in?
('cause I know)

CHORUS
I don't ever wanna Stand In Your Way
Don't wanna get between you and your heaven
I don't ever want to Stand In Your Way
If my love is too strong then you must go

Cashing in my chips again, ahh...ahh... it's such a shame
And Laughter holds the power over Silence
The tear that I touch, like the dew on the dove
It makes me feel... feel like dying
('cause i know)

CHORUS
I don't ever wanna Stand In Your Way
Don't wanna get between you and your heaven
I don't ever want to Stand In Your Way
If my love is too strong then you must go

Bass: Mike Porcaro
Fender Rhodes: David Foster
Guitar Solo: Jay Lewis

Curtain calls
Followed by loud applause
And how patiently she waits
For the final encore

He walks down the stairs
Such a sad affair
Dancin' to his favorite tune
Like a marionette
She'll awaken on cue

CHORUS
And then she says, "My Mind's Made Up"
Now she says, "My Mind's Made Up"
"every time My Mind's Made Up"
He calls and she comes running back
He calls and she comes running back
Why do you always change your line girl?

Through the door
What are you waiting for?
Make up your mind girl and move
For the final encore

She sits all alone
By the telephone
And waits until he accommodates
Like a marionette
She'll awaken on cue

CHORUS
And then she says, "My Mind's Made Up"
Now she says, "My Mind's Made Up"
"every time My Mind's Made Up"
He calls and she comes running back
He calls and she comes running back
Why do you always change your line girl?

BRIDGE
C'mon, c'mon
Now's the time to do it while your mind is runnin' through it
C'mon, c'mon
Now's the time to do it while your mind is runnin' through

4.)  SNOW WHITE

(Lisa Dal Bello)

Drums: Jeff Porcaro
Guitars: Jay Graydon, Eddie Patterson
Bass: Mike Porcaro
Piano: David Foster
Backing Vocals: LDB

She could've been a clerk
Or settled as a ticket taker
With aces in her hand
She threw in with a music maker

Well she's not the girl
That she used to be
'Cause she's running from
Sterile sanctity
And it's pleasure please
That's really got the hook on you, baby

CHORUS
Snow White's under the lights
And I doubt if she's home tonight
Snow White's doing her thing
And I doubt if she's home tonight

She could've made the grade
Graduated as a good home maker
Jumped in for the ride
Now she travels where the music takes her

Well she suffers from
Such an urgent need
She'll never resurrect
What she used to be
And it's pleasure please
That's really got the hook on you, baby

CHORUS
Snow White's under the lights
And I doubt if she's home tonight
Snow White's doing her thing
And I doubt if she's home tonight
Ohhh...

BRIDGE
Snow White
Oh baby
Well maybe
You ain't quite
The lady-
In-waiting
To follow
To fall in line
Fall in line

5.)  TOUCH ME

(Lisa Dal Bello)

Drums: Jeff Porcaro
Guitar: Jay Graydon
Bass: Mike Porcaro
Piano: David Foster
String Arrangement: LDB
Violin Solo: Israel Baker

Your face
Seems to me I've known you
Somewhere in a half-enchanted place
I have touched
Your face

You smile
Ah... the way you move me
You walk on stage I taste the wine
The power flows – this stallion's mine
You spin me 'round and burst me at the seams

CHORUS
Won't you
Touch Me
C'mon and
Touch Me
You smile and you too-much-me
Won't you come into my dream
And Touch Me

Mellow...
You can write the story
Can play the lady you've been waiting for
You are beautiful
Mellow

Closer
Now I can hear the music
You stand up there arms open wide
Taunting me to step inside
How absurd, oh God, this night has been

CHORUS
Won't you
Touch Me
Come on and
Touch Me
You soothe me then you rush me
Won't you come into my dream
and...
Touch Me

BRIDGE
Did you know I followed you?
Did you know that you enticed me?
To write it in the stars that you will
Save me, shoot me into paradise

CHORUS
Won't you
Touch Me
Come on and
Touch Me
You soothe me then you rush me
Won't you come into my dreams

Reach out babe and touch my soul
You can love me, baby, 'til you lose control...
Ah... reach out babe and touch my soul
You can love me, baby, 'til you...
Lose control...

6.)  TALK IT OVER (EVEN THOUGH MY BODY'S COLD)

(Lisa Dal Bello)

Guitars: Steve Lukather, Jay Graydon
Bass: Mike Porcaro
Piano: David Foster
Bass Moog Synthesizer: David Paich
Backing Vocals: Michele Gruska, LDB
Devil's Vocal: Brian Russell

Like a rose
I return to the garden
I suppose...
You're bought to be sold

Even though my body's cold
Even though my body's cold
Ain't prepared to be re-souled
Don't you dare because my body's cold

It's just like a toy soldier trying to turn a new leaf over
Two plus two don't always make a four-leaf clover (I...)
Don't wanna leave and I suggest we better talk it over
(Over)

CHORUS
(Talk It Over)
Talk It Over (turn a new leaf over)
Oh i think we better Talk It Over
(Talk me over)
Turn me over (turn my body over)

Once you've traveled on the road to China
Leaving all your worldly goods behind ya
Wise man will be waiting to remind ya
And the truth will surely blind ya...

It's just like a toy soldier trying to turn a new leaf over
Two plus two don't always make a four-leaf clover (I...)
Don't wanna leave and I suggest we better talk it over
And I think we better talk it over!

CHORUS
(Talk It Over)
Talk It Over (turn a new leaf over)
Oh i think we better Talk It Over
(Talk me over)
Turn me over (turn my body over)

You coulda struck me dead when someone said
You coulda struck me dead when someone said
It's over...

(Lisa Dal Bello)

Drums & Percussion: Jeff Porcaro
Guitars: Jay Graydon, Eddie Patterson
Bass: Mike Porcaro
Fender Rhodes: David Foster
Sax Solo: Tom Scott
Backing Vocals: Patrice Rushen, Michele Gruska, LDB

Wouldn't it be nice
If we could be more than just friends?
Discovering ways
To spend our evenings and days
Gettin' to know each other well

It would be so nice
To have you wake me in the morning
We'd float on silvery streams
Creating beautiful dreams
Inside our ivory tower

We shouldn't waste a night like this
Worrying what tomorrow will bring...

CHORUS
So forget about the rest
Forget about the rest
Stay With Me
Let's forget about the rest,
Baby baby,
Stay With Me

We are worlds apart
From a lifetime together
But, we could suppose
That while the curtains are closed
We'd share a timeless ecstasy

If we should lose a night like this
We will always wonder what might have been

CHORUS
So forget about the rest
Forget about the rest
Stay With Me
Let's forget about the rest,
Baby baby,
Stay With Me

BRIDGE
If I could have you here 'til the morning
Explore this feeling touching me, touching you

Like you won't believe it, well
I'm yearnin'...
You wouldn't find me hard to please
Won't you join me? well...
Satisfy the need in me

Wanna party down
Gonna funk around
'Til we tear it all apart
Even if it takes all night

CHORUS
Come into my Daydream
Welcome to my Daydream
Funny as it may seem
Party until visiting hours are over
In my Daydream
Welcome to my Daydream
Funny as it may seem
Party until visiting hours are over

Gonna dance around
Gonna dance on down

Gonna call out for more

10.)  EVERYTHING MONEY CAN BUY

(Lisa Dal Bello)

Drums: Nigel Olsson
Acoustic Guitars: Steve Lukather
Bass: David Hungate
Moog Synthesizer: Richard Baker
Piano: David Foster
String Arrangement: LDB
Backing Vocals: Brian Russell, Bill Champlin, Roy Galloway

At the time, couldn't have known it
When we lifted off into this star-lit sea
I'd be...
Waiting quite alone up here
In this empty gallery

Earth control, easily wasted
And it takes a lot to breathe the atmosphere
Up here...
Sitting out my life in space
In this lonely solar sea

CHORUS
And I've been lost and found so many times before
And tea and sympathy are not for me
Vanity's
Telling me, "You've made it, honey!"
And the price you pay for company has gone sky-high
But up here, I got Everything Money Can Buy
My dear, I got Everything Money Can Buy

Lost again... wouldn't you know it
And I could've been found like Cinderella's shoe
By you...
Such a prized discovery
In this glitter galaxy

CHORUS
And I've been lost and found so many times before
And tea and sympathy are not for me
Vanity's
Telling me, "You've made it, honey!"
And the price you pay for company has gone sky-high
But--up here, I got Everything Money Can Buy
My dear, I got Everything money Can Buy
Ahh, you know... I got Everything Money Can Buy

Everything
Everything
Everything
Money Can Buy

CD REISSUE LINER NOTES:

"The late 70's were cool times.  I was only 17, a Canadian teenager recording my 1st album in what I thought was the center of the music universe: L.A.

In the 70's in L.A., the radio stations were playing funky soul music and the beat and bass guitar were thumpin' out heavy solid beats.

This record was made during that groovy bad-ass time in music history in L.A., so I'd love to ask ... listeners to put on their highest of highest platform shoes, shake their funky thing and get down to some funky beats sung and written from the very core of my heart and ...... soul.

thankx,
Dalbello" (1999)
